Hurricane Hill Road, beyond the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center parking lot, will be closed to all access during both operational periods (July 5-20 and August 16-31). This closure includes the Hurricane Hill Trail, Little River Trail, and Wolf Creek Trail. For more detailed information, please visit the Olympic National Park website.

The trail in summer almost mirrors the winter route which starts at the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center. The paved hiking trail starts at the parking lot at the west end of Hurricane Ridge Road, 1.5 miles from the visitor center.


  • This is a very popular trail.
  • There is very little cover on this route except for a small section of trees.  
  • Hurricane Ridge can have high winds at times, even in summer,  so extra layers are recommended.
