Hoodoo Peak & Raven Ridge

A challenging scramble of two of Washington's highest peaks on Bulger List in the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness. Raven Ridge is also known as Libby Peak.

Getting There

Drive SR 20 past Twisp. Shortly after Twisp take SR 153 South to Blackpine Road. Follow Blackpine Road 2.5 miles to road Forest Road 43, continue on Forest Road 43 until you can make a left turn onto Forest Road 4340.  Drive 1.2 miles on Forest Road 4340 and then turn right onto Road 700. Drive 1.5 miles on Road 700 then turn left onto Road 750 and drive 0.9 miles to the end of the road and the Libby Creek Trailhead (4,430 ft).

Approach & Ascent

Hike Libby Creek trail for 5 miles to old cabin and set up camp.

Hoodoo Peak

Take trail towards Hoodoo Peak until you reach a boulder field and a gully.  Take the gully all the way up until you gain the ridge.  Follow ridge north to the summit of Hoodoo Peak.

Raven Ridge (aka Libby Peak)

Follow the trail to Libby Lake.  Traverse around Libby lake to its South end.  From the south end of Libby Lake locate the two gulleys and take the narrow gully on the right all the way to the ridge.  Once you have gained the ridge run the ridge to the summit.
