Hobuck Beach Resort
Hobuck Beach Resort provides camping on the pacific coast with easy access to great sea kayaking, surfing, and some hiking. This Place is for the activity of group camping at the resort, not for any kayaking or hiking trips.
Hobuck Beach Resort, run by the Makah tribe, provides ample camping near Hobuck Beach.
There are two areas. The north end has informal camping and is commonly used by Mountaineer groups. The south end has cabins and RV sites.
North End
- Camping in the north end meadows is first come, first served. Generally there is plenty of capacity, though summer weekends get busy. Camp in a large field, with no designated sites. Tents and campers are commonly used here. There are some, but not many picnic tables and fire rings.
- There are about 10 cabins for rent. These have a bedroom with one bed and a fold out sofa bed. The cabins can, and probably should be reserved.
- Two Tesla destination car chargers are located at the bathroom. There have been other chargers, but they have been out of service for several years. If enough people ask, they may be resorted to operation.
South End
- The south end has more cabins for rent. These are generally larger with more sleeping options.
- There are also full hookup RV sites. Both the RV sites and cabins can be reserved.
- There are level II EV chargers in the south end. According to PlugShare; 1 J-1772, 1 NEMA 114-50, and 2 NACS (Tesla).
Notes
- Register at the resort office when you arrive. If the office is closed, fill out an after-hours form and pay by check or at the office the next day.
- A Recreation Permit is required for recreational activity on Makah lands. These may be purchased at the Hobuck Beach Resort office or in town. (In 2025, cost was $20/year for 1 vehicle.)
- Marijuana is not legal on Makah land. Alcohol is prohibited.
