Hex Mountain
Hex Mountain is a strenuous, 7 mile round trip day hike with 2,600 ft in elevation gain. The trail ascends steeply from the shores of Cle Elum Lake through forests to the top of the mountain.
getting there
Take Exit 80 off of I-90 and drive north on Bullfrog Road. Turn right onto SR 903 (Salmon La Sac Road) at the round-about and drive through Roslyn. Turn right onto Forest Road 4305 7.4 miles past the round-about. In 2.3 miles, turn left onto Forest Road 4305-118, signed "Sasse Mountain Trail." Continue 1 mile to the trailhead (3,600 ft).
