Heather Lake (Stevens Pass)
A 7-mile hike with 1,350 feet of gain that leads into the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness north of Stevens Pass and near the Pacific Crest Trail. For added adventure continue on to Glasses Lake, another 3.0 miles round trip.
getting there
Drive SR-2 to the signed turn for Forest Road 6700 (Smithbrook Road), 3.5 miles east of Stevens Pass. Travel on on Smith Brook road for 12.5 miles to the junction with Forest Road 6701 and make a sharp left. Follow Forest Road 6701 for 4.7 miles, then turn left on Forest Road 400 and proceed roughly a half a mile to the trailhead parking area.
