Griff Creek

A difficult but scenic 3.6-mile round trip hike with 1,500 feet elevation gain. Enjoy picturesque views of Unicorn Peak and the Elwha River valley with Mount Carrie soaring above, just to name a few.

on the trail

Start hiking through a meadow behind the Elwha Ranger Station, then onto a forest of fir and cedar. As the canopy thins, be prepared for steep switchbacks that lead to scenic ledges. You can extend this hike for an additional 800 feet elevation gain along a half mile of rough tread. The reward will be views of Hurricane Hill, Griff Peak, and Unicorn Peak.
