Options for cross-country skiing adventures within an hour’s drive of Canmore or Lake Louise include the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park in the Kananaskis, Yoho National Park, Banff National Park and the Canmore Nordic Center Provincial Park. There are track skiing, skate skiing and skier-groomed trails to choose from, with comfortable lodging and good food to help you recover for your next day’s adventure. Classic Canadian Rockies scenes motivate you on each day’s 10-20 mile ski on well-marked trails, some with world-class groomed tracks.
