Glacial Heritage Preserve

The Black River - Mima Prairie Glacial Heritage Preserve is a Thurston County land that is a great example of the prairie ecosystem seen by settlers in the 1800's. Only 2.6% of this type ecosystem still exists today. This area is only open to the public during Thurston County sponsored events.
