Gannett Peak
A strenuous and remote alpine climb to the highest summit in Wyoming
Suggested 3 day itinerary (similar effort to Mt Olympus); from the Green River Lakes TH, hike the CDT approximately 15m to the Tourist Creek drainage, and follow a climber's trail to the lake at approximately 11000 under Mt Solitude, which is a good place to camp.
Next day, proceed on the high route to Skinny Lake and the Minor Glacier (little glaciation remaining) and up the 3rd class gulley at the head of the glacier. The summit ridge has some 4th class moves that might need a rope/hand line for some parties.
Descend the climbing route; most parties would prefer a 3rd day for the hike out.
