Fools Day Peak
Scramble a peak just east of Thorp Mountain, west of Sasse, and north of the French Cabin peaks. It can be scrambled in summer but is best done as a winter scramble.
Getting there
Take Exit 80 off of I-90 and drive north on Bullfrog Road. Turn right onto SR-903 (Salmon La Sac Road) at the round-about and drive through Roslyn. Continue 12 miles to the French Cabin Creek Sno-Park just past the Cle Elum River Campground (2,300 ft).
approach & ascent
Follow Forest Road 4308 for ~3 miles to the junction with Forest Road 4312. Follow Forest Road 4312 ~200 yards, enter the woods, and follow the ridge WNW to the summit.
