Estes Butte
A scenic but strenuous hike to a former lookout site. The trail, though rebuilt, has not been maintained and there are downed logs along the route.
getting there
Drive US-2 to Cole's Corner, just ast of Stevens Pass. Turn north onto SR-207 and drive 4.3 miles to a junction. Turn right onto the Chiwawa Loop Road, drive 1.3 miles, and turn left onto the Chiwawa River Road (Forest Road 62). Continue 14.6 miles to the trailhead (2,500 ft).
