Emerald Downs
Emerald Downs is the Northwest's premier Thoroughbred racing facility. Nestled in the Green River Valley in the shadow of majestic Mount Rainier, Emerald Downs is home to the Seattle-area's only professional equine athletes. The beauty and tradition of the Sport of Kings in the Seattle-area dates back to the early 1900s. Emerald Downs opened its doors June 20, 1996 and continues to feature live racing every April to September.
