Eagle Cliff (Cypress Island)

Easy, 2.8 miles, 752 ft. elevation gain. From Pelican Beach, journey through a lovely forest to an open summit over Rosario Strait, exposing incredible views of the archipelago, including Mt. Constitution, Lummi Peak and Golden Ears.

A Washington 100 Classic hike (#14). Cypress Island is the largest relatively undeveloped island in the San Juan archipelago. Arrive on Pelican Beach by kayak, canoe, or via local water taxi from Anacortes or Bellingham.  Closed Feb 1 - July 15th to protect sensitive species (Peregrine falcons, Eagles).  20 miles of trails on the island.
