There are many places of interest to walk to in and close to downtown Puyallup. These include Pioneer Park, old town buildings like the Tribune building, Sounder Railroad Station, historical murals, Karshner Museum, Veterans Park and Puyallup River Walk trailhead, Ezra Meeker Museum at the Meeker Mansion, WA State Fairground and many pieces of art in the Arts Downtown, Puyallup’s Outdoor Art Gallery. These can be included in a three mile walk that is flat and on mainly paved sidewalks. Quite a few street crossings are involved. So follow the Mountaineers urban safely procedures to ensure safe travel.
A good meeting place is Pioneer park by the main entrance to the Puyallup Library where there is a large parking lot and restrooms close by
There is a daily Pierce Transit 402 bus service between the new Federal Way Link Station and Puyallup Station and a weekday only 400 service between downtown Tacoma and Puyallup Station.
