on the water

This is a challenging paddle through a very scenic portion of the Columbia River gorge.  Wind speeds are usually in the 15-25 kt range with higher gusts.  As the wind is against the current of the river, wind waves can get up to 3-4 feet in sections, creating challenging conditions and lots of opportunities for surfing.
