A nice scramble that is mostly on trail with only a little scrambling at the end with several nice views. Can be done as a long loop with Thomas Mountain.

If we go to West French Cabin Mountain, the round trip distance is 12 - 17 miles, depending on how far in toward the trail head we can drive and on whether we include Thomas Mountain on the return loop. Almost the entire route is on trails. Much of the lower trails will likely be snow-free.
