A pleasant winter scramble, half on a snowmobile track, half on a wooded ridge, to a unspectacular peak with a nice view. There is not a lot of reason to scramble this peak except for the opportunity to do it on its eponymous day with other fools. Clown costumes encouraged.
Note on pacing: We will go at a relaxed pace. If you are looking for a fast-paced aerobic workout, find another trip.
Note on terrain: Most of the route climbs gentle slopes, but there is one long section that is moderately steep. At no point do we cross terrain steep enough to propagate avalanches. The open forest slopes have little ground cover - this is not a brush-bash.
Corner of West Ribery Way and Rock Creek Ridge Blvd SW at 7:00 am. This is in North Bend, on the south side of I-90 exit 31.
