Sauk River: White Chuck River to Darrington

Trip

Whitewater Packraft - Sauk River: White Chuck River to Darrington

The Sauk river is a fun class III run in a forest setting. I look to do this at flow rate below 2,700. If higher we will choose some other moderate class III or II.

  • Class III+ River
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi

Meet in Darrington at 9:00am on Sunday morning.  We'll drive to the take out then up to the put in at

This is a super fun run, suitable for pack rafter with good boat control and comfort in class II.

The goal is to paddle it at moderate flow, which I'm familiar with.  Max flow is 2,700.  If higher, I'll choose a different river section.

This trip may be used for equivalency.
