Stewardship - Ocean City State Park

Our Family group will participate in the annual international OceanSavers Beach Clean up day at a beach near Ocean Shores. Join Washington State Parks and others for the 9am to 12 noon structured clean up. After lunch participate in booths and educational activities and take an optional beach hike in the area. Registration priority is given to families but adults without children may register as well.

Meet for Beach Clean up at 9:00am Saturday April 20 at location to be determined, near Ocean City State Park.

We will probably meet in Olympia first to caravan.

.

This is a fun event for kids of all ages. In the past we wandered the beach picking up ocean trash  (mostly plastics) using gloves as needed for protection. Then we sorted it and delivered it for recycling to the sponsoring groups and provided data on types of trash.  Visited educational booths at the event.

Optional afternoon hike or beach activities may be added after details of event are release.

Anyone interested in spending the night on Friday night should contact me as there is a campsite reserved with limited space for first come first served.

Note: CoastSavers requires names and emails for all registrants, so if you are registered for this event I will be sharing that with them as part of our collaboration.
