This family event is scheduled to help clean out the tree swallow nests and evaluate how well they were used and to check out the migrating salmon in the beautiful creek at Oakland Bay Historical Park

Meet at 12:00 at the parking lot kiosk at the Oakland Bay Historical Park outside of Shelton. We should be done around 2:30.

Driveway on right as heading south: it is hard to see.
Required Equipment
The family Ten Essentials and packs for all adults.
Kids need to bring backpacks with water, spare clothes, rain gear, and essentials appropriate to their age and size.
We will walk on the beach so wear appropriate footwear.
Everyone will need rain gear and warm clothing.
Cameras for salmon viewing recommended!
Each family group will be assigned a bird house or two to clean out, so please bring a medium philips head screw driver and some work gloves for opening and cleaning out the box.
Masks for each person will be worn while hiking and any time we are close together. Bring hand sanitizer for each family if not for each individual.
We will be socially distancing while working and on the beach and divide into smaller hiking groups for COVID safety. Thank you for helping us make this activity possible during COVID times!
