Stewardship - Bayshore Preserve (Shelton)

Family Stewardship for Kids and their Adults. Join us at the Bayshore Preserve's forest and tideflats to do some Citizen Science. We will survey the old and new oak trees, identify and count the birds, and explore the tideflats at low tide. A 3 for 1 adventure! Get service credits too!

We will meet at the preserve at 1:30 and be done by about 4:30.  More detailed information will be emailed 2 days beforehand.

We will be working with the Capital Land Trust Education coordinator to survey the restoration of the native Garry Oaks. After a group snack we will take a bird identification walk, followed by an exploration of the tidelands at a great low tide.

This is appropriate for elementary and older and can be counted for service hours by older kids.
