This is part of surf zone and beyond. We’ll launch from spit behind Warm House beach and paddle out and around Waadha Island we’ll play alittle as we make our along the cliffs and paddle through any feature that seem like fun to do nothing extreme once beyond the island we will continue west Hand-railing shore out to Midway Point. We’ll enjoy a much deserved Brunch. Once tide begins to flood we’ll head back to Neah Bay. If you’re some what new to kayaking we’ll be going out in SK-III conditions, “nothing too sporty”

"Everyone that signs up for this paddle or clinic needs to ALSO sign up for the June 10 - 14 Sea Kayak -- Hobuck (ie, Surf Zone and Beyond) activity so we have a head count of everyone who's coming (even if you are just coming for part of it) and everyone must bring their ID and proof of vaccination to be admitted to the Makah Reservation."

Meet at the un-Godly hour of 6:15am launch by 7:15am

Meet at Spit behind Warm House Located in Neah Bay Across street from Cape Resort RV.

Also, there is a nearby bathroom across the street from the Warmhouse (in the parking lot by Washburns General store.)

After unloading kayaks we’ll move cars to parking lot across street TBD.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Helmet, Dry Suit,

Bring if you own these:

VHF radio, Tow Belt, highly recommend gloves.

Bring something for Brunch and hot drinks.

Required Equipment

These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips.  All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.

  1. Floatation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with floatation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
