The high mid-day tide should allow us to paddle to the end of Eld Inlet. past the highway bridge. This is a very long trip - 19 nm - and there's always a chance of wind/waves, so consider carefully if this is a trip for you.

Keep in mind that it’s still winter! You must be comfortable paddling in winter conditions, possibly cold temperatures, precipitation and strong winds/waves. Of course we'll hope for sun and blue skies! Dry suit required.

When asking permission to join, if I don’t know you yet please describe your paddling experience. Please seek permission via the trip posting registration link for that purpose, not with a direct email to me.

I'll be out of town and most likely unable to respond to messages or permission requests from Jan 27- Feb 7.

We'll launch from Boston Harbor boat launch, 312 73rd Ave NE, Olympia. There are bathrooms. Use the kayak parking area along the road, not the larger parking lot which is for trailers. Discover Pass is required.

Please arrive early enough to be ready to launch at 8:00am. We'll have our shoretalk then and launch directly after that.
