Naturalist Trip - Paradise Area Trails
Wildflowers and views, oh my! This will be a very slow paced hike west of the Paradise Visitor's Center to include Nisqually Vista Glacier Loop and the Dead Horse Creek Trail. We'll end our outing at the Myrtle Falls Viewpoint.

Hike participants should prepare for a very slow pace that allows for wildflower ID, appreciating views, taking pictures, and catching our breath. This hike has short ups and downs throughout, and many sections of the trails are paved. We will be out at least four hours, so plan accordingly - food, water, sun protection, insect protection, etc. I like the route I've planned as we avoid the most popular trails and go through a variety of habitats - wooded, wet areas, and open sub-alpine. As always, bring the Ten Essentials in addition to the items I mentioned above. If thunderstorms or severe weather is in the forecast the hike will be canceled.
Plan on a very early start. I'd like to meet at Paradise by 7:00 a.m. Details to be sent to hike participants three days prior to the hike.
