Naturalist Trip - Center for Urban Horticulture

Join us for a morning stroll looking and listening for birds. This trip was originally scheduled for December 18 (high winds), then changed from Lincoln Park (Revive I-5 traffic snarl). May the third time be the charm.

Plan for frequent stops to look and listen for birds.  The more eyes and ears we have the more birds we can experience.

No experience needed. Simply bring your curiosity, warm layers, and interest in learning. Recommended: Merlin bird app, bird book, and a good pair of binoculars.

Be booted and ready for introductions at 7:45 a.m. for an 8 a.m. walking time. We will park near Yessler Swamp and check out the boardwalk, then time our return to cars with restrooms opening at 9, and continue clockwise from the kiosk along gravel trails to the waterfront and end at the boathouse before returning to the cars.

Carpool details will follow in Hello Hiker once registration closes 1/20.
