A sunny Monday morning brisk hike on Squak Mountain from the May Valley Trailhead to Debbie's View and the Bullitt Fireplace.

  • Moderate/Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 6.8 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,922 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 2,000 ft
  • Pace: 2.5 mph

We will meet at the May Valley Trailhead at 8:30 a.m. geared up and ready to go.  Discover Pass required.    Trekking poles, possible spikes recommended.  Mask and sanitizer required.

This will be a brisk hike of ~2.5 mph up that will go up continuously (~3 miles) with a steep section midway and before Debbie's View.  We will likely have a beautiful view of the mountain on what is expected to be a sunny day where we will take a short snack break and then we will continue on via the new trail to the fire place and eventually reach the crossing to Debbie's View and continue down the path we came.  Recommend trekking poles and spikes (just in case).    Expect to be back at the trailhead before noon.
