Day Hike - Redmond Watershed Preserve

A spring hike in a local favorite park that features lots of spring growth, birds and water creatures. We will do a loop of the Trillium Trail, Pipeline Regional Trail, Collin Creek Trail, Siler's Mill Trail, then the Powerline Trail back to the parking lot via the Trillium Connector Trail. This is a mentored hike for my Hike Leader badge.

Goals: Explore the park, enjoy each other's company, admire the spring blooms (some trilliums should be making an appearance.)
The target average pace is 2 - 2.5 mph, so please consider if this is a sustainable pace for you at this distance before registering.

Expectations: We will make a few stops along the route for clothing adjustments and snacks. The only restrooms are at the trailhead.  Everyone will come equipped with the 10 Essentials and enough water and snacks to sustain you.  The group will stay together. This park allows horses on the trails, so we will remain alert for horses and riders and stop to allow them to pass.

I encourage you to tune into the quiet of the forest and the company of your fellow hikers. Please feel free to bring a charged phone and take pictures but refrain from taking or making phone calls while on the trail unless absolutely necessary.

Style: My walk style is social, nature-focused, and collaborative. We will take regular breaks and encourage a social atmosphere.

Further details will be sent out in a Hello Hiker email on April 23. Registration closes on April 24.

Meet at the main entrance parking lot, off Novelty Hill Road.

21760 Novelty Hill Road, Redmond WA. No pass is required.

Plan to arrive at the meeting point ready to begin at the posted start time. This means arriving by 11AM for an introductory talk before we hit the trail at 11:15AM.
We hike rain or shine!
