The trail to Rainy lake branches off the Pratt River connector trail and is accessed from the main Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead. Trail is "unofficial" so expect a rough trail. Leader has not done this route before.
My goals for this trip are:
1. Be safe.
2. Make it to Rainy Lake even if there is some Type 2 fun involved.
3. Learn something.
Expectations for trip participants:
1. Follow Leave No Trace guidelines.
2. Be ok with hiking an unofficial trail that could be steep, muddy, rooty, overgrown, etc.
3. Be respectful of all participants.
4. Have the necessary gear and clothing to be safe and comfortable. Winter hiking requires extra clothing and gear to stay warm and safe.
5. Have the necessary physical conditioning for this trip. 3000' of gain over 4 miles on a rough trail.
