It's summer! Let's break any bedtime rules and go watch the sunset at Poo Poo Point!

This will be a casual/conversational paced hike; however, each participant will need to have a good fitness base to handle the steep elevation gain in a timely manner.

The plan is to get up to the paraglider upper launch location by 8:20pm to hang out, enjoy snacks and take photos.  The sunset is at 08:49pm so we'll hang long enough to hopefully catch some pretty colors in the sky and then start heading back down by 9:30pm.  We will try to be back at the parking lot by 10:30pm with some efficient walking, but we will not be running. Everyone will need to bring a fully charged headlamp and backup batteries (or backup headlamp) because it will be dark hiking down through the woods but very fun!

Please be fully vaccinated before signing up.

Please be at the trailhead by 6:45pm and totally ready to go at 7pm.  The Chirico Trailhead is a busy one, but if you get there early enough and there are not any spots open, one usually opens up fairly quickly. There could also be a few spots open next to the street as you head towards Issaquah.  As a last resort, there is also a field across the street that charges $5.  No parking permit required in the trailhead parking lot.

An email will go out Sunday evening with more details  about the meeting location.
