We'll identify mushrooms, ferns, and other flora and fauna on this easy hike along the Sauk River. With luck, we'll see salmon and eagles, too. We'll take the ADA loop so we see it all (6 miles round trip). If people are interested and time allows, we can drive a short distance down the road to check out either Frog Lake (featuring frogs) or the Old Sauk River (featuring salmon) on the trail to Beaver Lake. Each of these hikes is 2 miles round trip. Current forecast is cloudy with a chance of rain. Light rain, we go; heavy rain, we don't.
We'll be at the Old Sauk North Trailhead by 11:00. Leader will arrange a meeting point at a park and ride along the way. No parking pass is required for any of the hikes described below.
