Day Hike - Newberry Hill Heritage Park

This is a nice leisurely hike as an alternative to battling for "stuff" at the mall. It will go through a varied selection of areas, including wetlands and a tour past sections that have undergone restorative thinning for future forest health.

  • Easy
  • Easy
  • Mileage: 3.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 200 ft
  • Pace: 1-1.5 mph

We will meet at the gate off of Seabeck Highway at 09:00 and be moving by 09:15.   Parking is a bit limited, so carpooling is encouraged.

This is going to be a relaxed hike to enjoy the wonders of one of Kitsap's Heritage Parks to explore forested areas, open space, and beaver ponds.  Questions are more than welcome, so come with an inquisitive mind.

The tentative route will be a lollipop out and back.

This will be a "rain or shine" hike, although significant winds will cancel the trip.

This will be a mentored lead for Melissa White.
