Day Hike - Miller Peninsula & Thompson Spit

Hike the Miller Peninsula State Park out to a lookout point to view Protection Island. Protection Island was an anchorage point for Captain George Vancouver for two weeks in May of 1792. Captain Vancouver and Botanist Archibald Menzies explored the area for the two weeks before moving on.

Trail is muddy in places this time of the year.

We will meet at the south parking lot off Diamond Point Road at 8:00 am.

A Discovery Pass is needed to park here.

We will try to start  by 8:15 am. Please call if running late.
