A quiet hike on a gated road to an abandoned lookout site with views, weather permitting, of the Skykomish River Valley and its surrounding peaks from Index, past Baring and east to Stevens Pass. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the south end of Houghton Park & Ride – Exit 17 I-405. (125 miles round trip drive to trailhead.) No registration, members only. Ralph Owen, 425-746-1070.
