Due to limited parking at the trailhead, we will be meeting at 8:30 AM at the North Bend Safeway parking lot and then carpooling to the Mount Teneriffe trailhead.

Safeway address: 460 SW Mt Si Blvd, North Bend, WA 98045.

WTA's directions to Mount Teneriffe trailhead:

From I-90, take exit 32 (436th Avenue SE). Turn left (north) over the freeway and drive 0.5 miles to SE North Bend Way. Turn left (west), and in 0.25 mile turn right (north) on SE Mt Si Road. In 2.9 miles (past the Little Si and Mt Si trailheads), you will reach a 70-car paved parking area on the left. A Discover Pass is required to park here. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.

On this out-and-back hike, we will start on the Mount Teneriffe trail and connect to the Teneriffe falls trail. At a moderate pace, the hike should take about 3-4 hours. Please be prepared to walk on somewhat narrow rocky talus slopes. Trekking poles are useful when navigating this terrain. The talus slopes are an excellent place for a mid-hike snack break, as there is not room for 12 hikers to sit and eat at the falls viewpoint.

After the hike, hikers are welcome to join us at the Starbucks next to the Safeway gas station at 721 SW Mt Si Blvd B, North Bend, WA 98045.

If you would like to bring your well-trained dog on this hike, please email the trip leader for permission before registering. Dogs must be friendly towards both people and other dogs (in this group and as a part of the general public), and participants will be asked to leave the activity if conflict arises as a result of their dog’s participation. Dog guardians  must abide by LNT principles and keep dogs on leash at ALL times.
