This steep approach keeps away the mobs and allows us to wander the gorgeous High Divide until we run out of cookies and energy.

Meet at 7:00 a.m. in Bellingham to consolidate carpools. Get off I5 at Exit 255. Turn right or east on the Mt. Baker Hwy. (542). Turn left at the first light into Sunset Square. Turn right again and park east of Skagit Bank.

July 21, Sat. – Welcome Pass/High Divide, (GT #14, Mount Shuksan). 8 mi. and 3,400’ elev. gain with an option to continue further on the High Divide. Pace will be moderate with breaks for views and snacks. A treat to share is always welcome. Hint, the leader likes cookies. Party limit is 8. Meet at 7:00 a.m. in Bellingham to consolidate carpools.
