Issaquah Transit Center at 7:00am. If there are participants coming from the South arrangements will be made to rendezvous in Enumclaw.
A steep hike through forest with a spectacular view from the top. From the WTA: On a clear day “...it’s possible to see six (yes, six!) volcanoes spanning two states. Baker, Glacier, Adams, Rainier, St. Helens and Hood…”. It’s a great way to see the beautiful area on the East side of Rainier but without the extra drive time required to get to Sunrise.
At 6595 ft, Crystal Peak is on the list of 100 highest peaks in Rainier NP and is one of only fifteen non-technical peaks on the list that can be summited as day hikes. Crystal Peak counts towards the 15 Hiking Peaks in Mount Rainier NP, 100 Peaks in Mount Rainier NP, and Olympia Branch Lookout badges.
