Bikepack - Deschutes River State Recreation Area

An out and back overnight bike ride on the scenic Deschutes River old railbed trail from Deschutes River State Recreation area near the mouth of the Deschutes onto the Columbia River.

We will meet at the  Deschutes River State Recreation Area at 10 AM.  Ready to ride at 10:30 AM.

Either way, there is a fee for overnight parking.

We will ride on the Old Railroad Red Trail to Mack Canyon BLM campground, ~24 miles one-way with 2,100 feet of elevation gain. We will either camp at  Mack Canyon BLM campground  or turn around and camp at one of the more primitive campsites we encountered along the way. Return on Sunday back to the trailhead at Deschutes River State Rec Area.
