This will be a leisurely paced trip, allowing lots of time for photos. We will stay together and take rest stops every hour. If the weather cooperates we will continue past the Mt Baker ski lodge to view Mt. Baker. If not, we may duck into the lodge for shelter. The Travel is mostly on gentle, groomed roads, but there will be a trail section up to the lodge with some short climbing. This trip is designed to be easier for beginners to get used to their new gear. This road snowshoe may be shady and cold, so bring lots of layers and a warm thermos. If the sun is out, the views are fantastic.
We may opt for an alternate trip if the weather is too warm and wet.
Meet at 7 at the South Everett park and ride. The drive is at least two hrs, with limited parking.
