Route Information:

We will be climbing the very fun South face route. We will be taking the summer approach. Familiarize yourself with the beta from Summit Post. Also read Kathryn’s trip report to know what conditions to expect.  There is still snow on the ground so there may be some post holing; however, I have heard from a team doing Chair Peak last week that snowshoes are not necessary. Here is their photo album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tZ6YrCR1LGHnNJdR6 We will be climbing in 2 rope teams, each comprised of one instructor and one student.

Navigation:

People can sometimes get a bit lost on the approach. Be prepared to help the group navigate. Please bring a printed map. Here is one from caltopo if you need it. Also, please download a GPS track such as this one on your phone:  GPS track
