2024 basic students note, this trip will not help you graduate, since it's neither a rock climb, nor a glacier climb. But, it will be a rewarding outing provided you can tolerate a certain amount of suffering.
This will be a tough climb; mountain bikes will make the approach much easier, and are required. Also be prepared for a certain amount of bushwhacking up to Overcoat lake. Please let me know which trips you've already suffered on that are somewhat comparable.

- Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)

- A back pack (40 to 60 liters)
- Webbing and accessory cords
- 6 straight gate carabiners
