Alpine Scramble - Tahtlum Peak
This trip was to be the non-standard route up Pilchuck via the very beautiful Bathtub Lakes; significant rain in the forecast prompted a shift to Tahtlum or Seymour or both.

The forecast looks a little better east of Rainier than for most of the west slopes which could really get soaked. We'll hike from Chinook Pass to near Dewey Lake; from there, depending on conditions, we will do either Tahtlum Peak or Seymour Peak. If it's not too wet, we may do both.
