May the Fourth be with us for the Revolution!
We will hike up Granite Creek Trail and Thomson Peak Trail, bushwhack through an overgrown section of logging road, snowshoe over Thomson Point, scramble NE along a ridgeline with a class three rock section, and ascend the SE ridge of Revolution Peak to attain its summit.
Expect a long day out and the possibility of being turned around at the crux if the rock is too wet/icy. A high level of conditioning is required. Snowshoes and micro-spikes are required (the latter for potentially icy rock). In your permission request, provide examples of multiple hikes you've done within the past two months exceeding 3000 ft of gain. Bonus points if they involved snowshoe usage.
This trip will be canceled if there is significant snow or rain in the forecast (up to leader's discretion).
