Moderate to challenging depending on your experience and comfort level in rock/boulder terrain & backpacking some steep trail sections with big tree roots. Jeff Smoot & Mountaineers rating: Class 2. Group decision 2 vs. 3 days so plan on 2.5 days. 3 day trip = T3/S3, 2 day T3/S4-S5.

Currently, low snow conditions so this trip will have 1700+' ft of steep boulder, scree, mixed rock terrain ascent up La Bohn Gap and ridge traverse to summit. Short, steep snow slope just below true summit so ice ax & crampons.
Paul Gehlsen's Mountaineer's trip report July 26-29, 2019 is a good read for this alpine scramble climb of Mount Hinman & La Bohn Peak.
