5:30am, Wilburton Park & Ride, Bellevue. (Otherwise known as "SE 8th Street exit".) OR, 7:45am, Fryingpan Creek trailhead, Mt Rainier NP.
In late summer, Banshee Peak is essentially a long-distance off-trail "hike", but at this time of year, snow is expected near Panhandle Gap that would make for a "T2" snow scramble.
Annual Mt Rainier pass, America-the-Beautiful pass, or $15/vehicle entrance fee required.
