Join us on the East Side for a summer of camp magic, adventure, and fun! We're excited to offer Day Camps for campers aged 6–10 at a new, satellite location in Renton. We can't wait to explore, swim, sing, and craft with you this summer!

DAY CAMPS | 2024 SCHEDULE
Join in on the adventure with a satellite camp put on by the Seattle Mountaineers! Day camp is based out of Kennydale Memorial Hall in Renton for campers ages 6–10 and runs from 9 am to 4 pm each day. Each week will feature exploration of the local area, including visits to Mill Creek Park, Cougar Mountain, and swimming at Gene Coloun Memorial Beach Park. We will cover basic outdoor skills such as navigation, wilderness first aid, and low impact recreational practices. Campers will also play plenty of games, make crafts, and build community with other outdoor-oriented kids. Each week’s theme will feature different activities and field trips.
July 1-3 | Wilderness Discovery Week: Campers will have the opportunity to build all of the basic outdoors skills needed to recreate responsibly including navigation, wilderness first aid, plant identification, water safety, and more! This week will also feature a field trip to Tiger Mountain.
July 7-12 | Nature Artists Week: Calling all aspiring artists! Campers will explore the world around them through various art projects using the local parks, beaches, and mountains for inspiration while learning valuable outdoor and responsible recreation skills.
July 15-19 | Survivor Week: Ever wondered how you’d fare if you got lost out in the mountains or in a zombie apocalypse? Campers will learn basic skills for wilderness survival including navigation, wilderness first aid, shelter-building, tracking animals, and more!
July 22-26 | Water Week: Features activities related to water conservation and ecology as well as field trips to Seahurst Park and Lake Sammamish to learn about both salt and freshwater ecosystems.
July 29 - August 2 | Nature Detectives Week: Grab your notebook and magnifying glass and explore nature through the five senses! Campers will learn about the plants, animals, and critters that make up the natural world around them.
August 5-9 | Mountain Adventures Week: Activities will focus on safe mountaineering practices and the history and geology of Washington’s natural landscape. This week will include a field trip to Franklin Falls.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available for youth courses. We recommend applying for a scholarship at least two weeks before you plan on enrolling in camp. Our scholarships are granted on a needs basis, and all are encouraged to apply. We take into consideration a variety of factors, including income and other participation barriers, student status, and family circumstances.
