Foothills Summer Camps

Foothills Summer Camps

Join us on the East Side for a summer of camp magic, adventure, and fun! We're excited to offer Day Camps for campers aged 6–10 at a new, satellite location in Renton. We can't wait to explore, swim, sing, and craft with you this summer!

Scroll to the bottom of the page to learn more and enroll in specific camp offerings.

DAY CAMPS | 2024 SCHEDULE

Join in on the adventure with a satellite camp put on by the Seattle Mountaineers! Day camp is based out of Kennydale Memorial Hall in Renton for campers ages 6–10 and runs from 9 am to 4 pm each day. Each week will feature exploration of the local area, including visits to Mill Creek Park, Cougar Mountain, and swimming at Gene Coloun Memorial Beach Park. We will cover basic outdoor skills such as navigation, wilderness first aid, and low impact recreational practices. Campers will also play plenty of games, make crafts, and build community with other outdoor-oriented kids. Each week’s theme will feature different activities and field trips.

July 1-3 | Wilderness Discovery Week:  Campers will have the opportunity to build all of the basic outdoors skills needed to recreate responsibly including navigation, wilderness first aid, plant identification, water safety, and more! This week will also feature a field trip to Tiger Mountain.

July 15-19 | Survivor Week: Ever wondered how you’d fare if you got lost out in the mountains or in a zombie apocalypse? Campers will learn basic skills for wilderness survival including navigation, wilderness first aid, shelter-building, tracking animals, and more!

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available for youth courses. We recommend applying for a scholarship at least two weeks before you plan on enrolling  in camp. Our scholarships are granted on a needs basis, and all are encouraged to apply. We take into consideration a variety of factors, including income and other participation barriers, student status, and family circumstances.

HAVE A QUESTION?

Take a look at our camp FAQs or view our online registration instructions.  When you register, you'll fill out youth paperwork online. This can be done through your child's account or when registering for camp.

Or contact our summer camp team:  summercamp@mountaineers.org.
