Trail is well maintained thanks to the Mount Rose Trail Crew! Surprising amount of recent snow with icy bridge crossings.
We carried but didn't need micro-spikes. But we had to use extra caution crossing icy bridges. Cold day with no rain, just a nice gropple shower and a few snowflakes. A few flowers were out, such as Trilliums and tiny yellow Woodland violets (I think that's the name). Felt more like a day in mid December, not mid April! My Gaia gps showed 5.3 miles rt and 999' elevation gain.
