We will MEET at 9:00 am and LAUNCH at 10:00 am at Hobuck Beach, by the upper campground area.
Everyone that signs up for this paddle needs to ALSO sign up for the June 10 - 14 Sea Kayak -- Hobuck (ie, Surf Zone and Beyond) activity so we have a head count of everyone who's coming (even if you are just coming for part of it) and everyone must bring their ID and proof of vaccination to be admitted to the Makah Reservation."
We will launch through the surf at Hobuck Beach and then paddle south in Makah Bay, skirting boomers and keeping an eye on the swell. We will plan on a break on a beach inside Anderson Point. Conditions permitting, the goal will also be to sample the headland environment around Anderson Point and no further than Portage Head. This paddle is geared toward, but not limited to, those who will have taken the surf zone clinic that weekend and/or have had little experience paddling on the open coast.
Dry suits and helmets required.
