Urban Adventure - Georgetown Steam Plant

Photograph one Seattle's unique historical sites at the former Georgetown Steam Plant.

Meet outside the main entry at the Georgetown Steam Plant at 9:50. The doors open at 10am. There is no entry fee. Please carpool if possible, parking is limited in a grassy, gravel parking lot. The official field trip will end at 12:00. But you can stay until closing at 2pm.

 

 

 

 You will see the inner workings of an early 20th century industrial site with tubes, railings, stairs, gauges, and catwalks. The field trip is open to photographers of all skill levels. Lighting is limited so a fast lens and high ISO will help. Phone cameras will work. But a camera with some manual controls would improve the quality of your pictures. Bring warm clothes as it can be very chilly inside.
