Solar Celebration - Tacoma Program Center Net-Zero Open House

Mountaineers and partners celebration of the achievement of TPC Net-Zero Energy Project
195 ( 200 capacity)

Join us on Friday, July 12, for an open-house celebration at the Tacoma Program Center from 4:30-7:00pm to celebrate the achievement of a significant milestone for The Mountaineers: the Tacoma Program Center is our FIRST net-zero energy consumption building.

Learn more about how we’re partnering with the City of Tacoma, Tacoma Power, and FEMA to provide community outreach and education opportunities to Mountaineers members and the public, serve as a model for other resilience hubs, and potentially use the TPC as a FEMA Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) center for utilization in emergency situations.

This project was made possible with funding support from Mountaineers members, the Solar plus Storage for Resilient Communities grant from the Washington State of Department of Commerce, and Evergreen Options, a Tacoma Power program funded by utility customers who support new renewable energy in the Pacific Northwest. If you purchase electricity from Tacoma Power, you can support renewable energy by enrolling in Evergreen Options at
