Mountaineers Adventure Club (MAC) is a year-round course for teens age 14-18, focused on learning climbing and backcountry travel skills. MAC participants must be members of The Mountaineers. The price of the MAC Program is $60 the first month, and $35 each month after.
MAC members have the opportunity to go on scheduled monthly training trips, add trips of their own planning, work toward their own outdoor goals, and participate in climbs. Trips include hiking, backpacking, scrambling, rock climbing, snow camping, alpine climbing and mountaineering. We also have monthly meetings to plan our trips and practice skills at the Tacoma Mountaineers Program Center.
